I seek to meet life in as an engaged and spirited way as I can. Over time, I have learned to become more welcoming of a wholer, more real, version of myself which includes grief and hurt places, as well as great capacity for love and joy.
My life this far has been rich and varied. I grew up on an organic small-holding in a multi-racial family. Several years ago after years in Scotland, I unexpectedly returned full circle and am currently happily settled back in beautiful North Norfolk. I thrive on wholesome, simple living, beauty, mountain walks and cycle rides, intimacy and connection, the joy of my work, the love of friends and family. I strive to hold close a sense of gratitude, of blessing, of kindness…
Travels and studies, including a Russian degree, a yoga teacher training, and time in Steiner-inspired communities, led me to ordination as an Interfaith Minister, life celebrant and spiritual counsellor in 2004. For four years I was a faculty member of the Interfaith Seminary (www.onespiritinterfaithfoundation.org), alongside over 15 years of establishing myself as a celebrant. I am drawn to many healing, spiritual and indigenous wisdoms and teachings, and have been inspired by so much. In there are: celebrating the seasons, trauma work, community living, sacred intimacy, grief-tending, family constellations, the power of ritual and prayer, the magnificence of harmony singing.
My work currently centres around community singing groups and creating bespoke ceremonies. These bring me joy and fulfilment. I offer many of my own singing groups, and am both tutor and Musical Director of the well being charity ‘Sing Your Heart Out’. I am author of ‘Your Wedding and Beyond’, into which I have poured my devotion, longing and love.
